Glaciers  can be fascinating places. Huge tracts of ice tinted with blue-green, torn by crevasses. They are always on the move. Sometimes you can hear them moan, as  the ice moves steadily downhill, sounding like some strange whale. They sculpt the landscape on a grand scale.
